Today is Memorial Day, a day for every American to remember the sacrifice of those who died while serving in the Armed Forces.
For those of us who have not served, it is our duty to “care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan.” As a taxpayer, you’ve helped provide for the families of the fallen. Tax dollars give Gold Star families monthly pensions, education and health care benefits, so that making the ultimate sacrifice in war does not mean sacrificing your children’s future.
